History

G&N is the former machines department of "Kugelmüller" at Nuernberg. 70 years experience in grinding - over 12.000 machines since 1938.

 

1964 Development of the first european silicon grinding machine for 1/2" wafer.

1984 MPS T500 - first fully automatic wafer grinder (plunge grinding)

1994 G&N (Genauigkeits Maschinenbau Nuernberg GmbH) refounded.

1995 G&N moves to Erlangen-Tennenlohe.

1997 Grinding Machines Nuernberg Ltd. (sevice and sales office) founded at Charlotte,NC.

1999 Multinano/3-300 wafer grinder

2000 MPS R400GGP, first G&N machine for grinding and polishing in one process

2004 MPS 3-134, first G&N machine for super finishing of mono- and polycrystalline silicon blocks for solar wafer

G&N 2007 – today
